EchoRoam eSIM Data Plans for Balkans countries

EchoRoam does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for the Balkans. All of the plans that cover Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and the surrounding areas have a fixed data cap. For example, EchoRoam offers a 20GB plan that is valid for 30 days and another 20GB plan that is valid for 20 days, both of which include tethering.

Choosing a fixed data plan can be more cost‑effective for most travelers, unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer who would benefit from an unlimited option.

EchoRoam does not provide eSIM plans for the Balkans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The available Balkans plans are data‑only, so travelers will need to rely on data‑based applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage for voice and text communication. Travelers should confirm that these apps are accessible in their specific destination before purchasing, as some locations may block or restrict VoIP services.

EchoRoam offers three eSIM plans that cover the Balkan states. The Global (120+ areas) plan includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo, along with a wide array of worldwide regions beyond the Balkans. The Balkans (5+ areas) plan covers Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia, focusing specifically on those six Balkan countries. The Global139 plan also covers all eight Balkan countries—Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo—while extending coverage to many other global destinations. Only the Balkans plan is limited to the six Balkan countries; the Global and Global139 plans provide broader worldwide coverage.
