Zwitchy eSIM Data Plans for Balkans countries

Zwitchy does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for the Balkans. All plans that include “Unlimited” in the name give a fixed 3GB/day allowance and, once that limit is reached, the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps. The validity of these plans is limited to 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 days, so the data is not unlimited for the duration of the trip.

If a traveler wants a larger, non‑throttled data allocation, Zwitchy offers fixed data plans. For example, a 50GB plan valid for 30 days covers all Balkan countries and costs $56.50 for the Balkans package, while a 30GB plan for 30 days is available at $35.50. These fixed data plans do not contain speed reductions and may be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

Zwitchy does not provide eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability for travelers heading to the Balkans. Only data-only eSIMs are sold by this provider for the region. Travelers who wish to stay in contact can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, though it is advisable to verify that the apps they rely on are accessible in the specific Balkan destination before purchasing.

Zwitchy provides three plans that cover Balkan countries. The Europe plan covers Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
