Airalo eSIM Data Plans for Central America

Airalo does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Central America.
All plans labeled “Unlimited” on the Airalo catalog are actually limited to 3 GB per day, after which the speed is capped at 1000 kbps.

Instead, Airalo offers a range of fixed‑data plans for Central America. For example, the 20 GB tier is available for 15 or 30 days at $56.00 USD and $59.00 USD respectively, while a 10 GB plan can be purchased for 7 days for $40.00 USD. Choosing a fixed‑data plan may be more cost‑effective unless the traveler is an extremely heavy data user.

Airalo does not provide Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are available for Central America. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging needs.

Airalo offers three eSIM plans that cover Central America: Discover, Latamlink, and Discover+. Each of these plans includes coverage for the five countries in Central America—Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras—so travelers in that region can rely on any of the three options to stay connected.
