Maya Mobile does not provide a truly unlimited eSIM plan for East Asia. The available plans give a fixed high‑speed data allowance of 5GB per day for a set number of days; after the daily limit is reached the speed is throttled to 3 Mbps. Examples of these fixed data plans are the 7‑day and 30‑day packages, each offering 5GB per day for the duration of the validity period. For travelers who need more data than these offerings, a fixed data plan with a larger allowance or a Pay‑as‑you‑go option may be more cost‑effective, depending on usage.
Maya Mobile does not offer any East Asia eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are available for this region. Travelers who need voice or messaging can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should check that these services are accessible in the specific destination before purchasing, as some countries may block or restrict certain apps.
Maya Mobile’s “Unlimited Global Data” plan provides eSIM coverage in China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Macau and Taiwan; these are the only East Asian countries covered by the plan, while it also extends service to numerous other regions worldwide.
