The plans listed under “Unlimited” in its catalogue actually hold a fixed amount of high‑speed data—such as 1GB for a single day or 2GB per day for a few days—after which the connection speed falls to a reduced rate (for example, 512kbps or 2000kbps). Because of these restrictions, the “Unlimited” names are misleading and should not be considered as offering unlimited high‑speed data.

Travelers who need a larger, more predictable data allowance can choose a fixed‑data plan instead. For example, nextSIM offers a 20GB plan valid for 30 days at $51.49 USD in East Asia and a comparable 20GB plan for East Asia plus additional countries at $158.53 USD for 30 days. These fixed‑data options provide a larger data cap and are often more cost‑effective for heavy data users than the limited‑data “Unlimited” plans.
