Roamic eSIM Data Plans for East Asia

Roamic does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for East Asia. The plans that carry the name “Asia eSIM Unlimited Data” actually have a fixed data allowance of 3GB per day; once that daily limit is reached the speed is throttled to 128kbps.

Instead, Roamic offers a range of fixed data plans that cover China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Taiwan and six additional countries. Examples include a 20GB plan for 30 days, a 10GB plan for 30 days, a 5GB plan for 21 days, and the 3GB/day plans that run from 1 day up to 30 days. These options may be more cost‑effective unless a traveler requires very high data usage.

Roamic does not offer an East Asia eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can purchase Roamic data‑only eSIMs for East Asia, and can use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging; however, some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps, so travelers should verify functionality before purchasing.

The Asia eSIM Unlimited Data plan offered by Roamic includes coverage in China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau and Taiwan. This plan is the only one listed with East Asian coverage and it also extends to several other parts of Asia that are not part of the East Asia region.
