Sim Local eSIM Data Plans for East Asia

Sim Local does not have an unlimited data eSIM plan for East Asia. All current Sim Local plans for the region come with a fixed data allowance.

Fixed‑data alternatives are available, such as the Asia 20 GB plan and the Orange Holiday World 20 GB plan, each offering 20 GB of high‑speed data for 31 days at $35.00 USD and covering China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Taiwan and many additional countries. These larger fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most travelers unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer.

Sim Local does not provide any East Asia eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only eSIM plans in this region.

Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages in place of traditional SMS or a local phone number.

Sim Local offers several eSIM options that include coverage of China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Macau and Mongolia.
