AlpineSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for South America. All of its South‑American plans in the store have a fixed data allowance ranging from 1GB up to 10GB in a single day, or 20GB spread over 30 days. Because these plans have a hard cap, the speed can be throttled after that amount is reached; no plan offers data without a limit.

Travelers who need large data volumes can instead choose from AlpineSIM’s fixed‑data packages. For instance, a 10GB/Day /1 day plan is available for $45.90 USD, and a 20GB 30‑day plan costs $83.83 USD. These high‑allowance options can be more economical for users who consume a lot of data but do not require an unlimited plan.

AlpineSIM does not offer eSIM plans with a phone number or SMS capability for destinations in South America. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available from the provider. Travelers who need voice or messaging can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict access to these services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in South America before purchasing a plan.
