MoodSIM eSIM Data Plans for South America

MoodSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for South America. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name actually offer a fixed daily data allowance – 1 GB or 2 GB per day – after which the speed drops to 384 kbps, so they are not unlimited in the sense of providing continuous high‑speed data.

For travelers who need more data, fixed‑cap plans are available. Examples include 20 GB for 30 days or 90 days and 10 GB for 30 days, all covering South American countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and others. These fixed‑data plans may be more cost‑effective for most users unless they require continuous high‑speed data beyond the daily limits that the “Unlimited” plans impose.

MoodSIM does not provide South America eSIM plans with a phone number or SMS capability. All MoodSIM eSIMs sold for South America are data‑only, allowing travel‑grade mobile internet without native voice or text services. Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages, bypassing the need for a local phone number or SMS support.

MoodSIM’s South American coverage is available on three of its plans. The Global (Standard) plan lists Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, and Uruguay as the South American countries it covers. The South America plan lists the same set of countries.
