MoodSIM eSIM Data Plans for South America

MoodSIM does not provide a true unlimited data plan for South America. The only plans that carry the word “Unlimited” are “Global (Standard) Unlimited (1 GB/day, then 384 kbps) 1 Day” and “Global (Standard) Unlimited (2 GB/day, then 384 kbps) 1 Day.” Each gives 1 GB or 2 GB of high‑speed data per day and then drops the speed to 384 kbps, so the data is capped rather than truly unlimited.

Travelers who need larger amounts of data may choose one of MoodSIM’s fixed‑data options, such as the 20 GB plan valid for 30 days or the 10 GB plan valid for 30 days. These plans provide a set amount of high‑speed data without a daily cap, and may be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

MoodSIM does not provide South America eSIM plans with a phone number or SMS capability. All MoodSIM eSIMs sold for South America are data‑only, allowing travel‑grade mobile internet without native voice or text services. Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages, bypassing the need for a local phone number or SMS support.

MoodSIM offers eSIM plans that cover fifteen countries in the South American region. The plans that provide coverage include the Global (Standard) plan, the dedicated South America plan, and the larger Global plan. All three plans list the same set of South American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, and Uruguay. The Global (Standard) and Global plans also provide coverage beyond South America, but these additional areas are not part of the South American coverage list.
