nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for South America

nextSIM does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM plan for South America. The plans that include the word “Unlimited” in their name provide a limited high‑speed data allowance—either 1 GB per day or 2 GB per day—and once that limit is reached the speed throttles to 512 kbps for Standard plans or 2000 kbps for Plus plans.

If a traveler needs a larger data capacity without such throttling, nextSIM offers fixed high‑data plans for South America, for example the 50GB 30‑day plan or the 20GB 30‑day plan. These plans provide a set amount of high‑speed data for the entire validity period and may be more cost‑effective for users who consume a lot of data.

nextSIM does not provide South America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only eSIMs for travelers. If phone calls or text messages are needed, users can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, which work over the data connection and do not require a local phone number.

eSIM LATAM covers Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Peru, El Salvador and Uruguay; eSIM Global, eSIM Unlimited Standard Global and eSIM Unlimited Plus Global all provide coverage of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador and Uruguay; eSIM South and Central America Premium adds Belize, Honduras, Suriname and Venezuela to that list; and eSIM GLOBAL Premium offers the same South American coverage as the other global plans with the additional inclusion of French Guiana, Belize, and Venezuela.
