BNESIM eSIM Data Plans for Romania

BNESIM does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Romania. The plans that include “Unlimited” in their name give 3GB per day at full speed and then throttle to 1Mbps; after the daily allowance the speed is reduced, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need a larger data allowance can choose from BNESIM’s fixed data plans. For example, the “Surf 100 GB in Romania for 30 days” plan offers 100GB of high‑speed data for 30 days, and the “Surf 100 GB in Romania” plan provides 100GB with no expiry. These fixed plans are the alternatives for users who want a substantial amount of data.

BNESIM does not provide a Romania eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. All of BNESIM’s Romania offerings are data‑only plans, so travelers will not receive inbound or outbound voice or SMS services from the eSIM.

Users can still communicate in Romania using popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. It is advisable to confirm that these apps are accessible and not restricted in Romania before purchasing an eSIM.

BNESIM offers 15 single‑country plans and 43 multi‑country plans that cover Romania. These options include both fixed data‑cap packages—primarily ranging from 1 GB up to 100 GB—and shorter‑term daily‑cap variations, which allow travelers to use a set amount of data each day. Prices across the catalogue span from about $2.84 to $432.94, giving users a broad spectrum of choices that balance cost, duration and data allocation.
