FootySIMs eSIM Data Plans for South Africa

FootySIMs does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for South Africa. The plans that carry the label “Unlimited” actually allow 1 GB per day and reduce the speed to 512 kbps once that daily limit is reached, so the high‑speed data is not without limits.

Travelers can instead choose fixed data plans such as the South Africa — 1GB · 7 days plan, which offers a total of 1 GB that must be used within seven days, or the South Africa — Unlimited · 7 days plan, which gives 1 GB per day for seven days with reduced speed after the daily allowance. These fixed data options may be more cost‑effective for most users, unless very heavy data consumption is anticipated.

FootySIMs does not provide a South Africa eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider only offers data‑only plans for South Africa. Travelers who need voice or text can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in South Africa before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict certain apps.

FootySIMs offers three single‑country data plans for South Africa. Two of these plans come with a daily data cap, while the remaining one is a fixed data amount plan. Prices for the available plans range from $4.36 to $134.04, with each plan capped at 1 GB of data, and all have validity periods between 7 and 30 days. No multi‑country plans are currently offered for South Africa.
