Stixrs eSIM Data Plans for South Africa

No, Stixrs does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for South Africa. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their names actually include a fixed amount of high‑speed data—3GB per day or 1GB per day—for a set validity period, after which the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps or 5000 kbps respectively. Travelers who need more data without the hard cap can choose from Stixrs’ fixed data plans, such as the 50GB eSIM that is valid for 30 days or the 20GB eSIM that is also valid for 30 days, both offering larger data allowances for the South Africa coverage area.

Stixrs does not provide a South Africa eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The company offers only data‑only plans for that destination, so travelers can use the connection with VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage to make calls and send messages. Some destinations may block or restrict specific VoIP services, so users should verify that the apps they rely on are accessible in South Africa before purchasing a plan.

Stixrs offers 19 single‑country (single coverage) plans and 26 multi‑country (multiple coverage) plans that include South Africa. The available packages cover a price range between roughly $4 and $513, while data allowances vary from 1 GB up to 50 GB. Some plans provide a fixed data cap for the entire validity period, whereas others reset daily and offer a daily data cap.
