Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Sri Lanka

Lumbus does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Sri Lanka. The plans that carry the name “Sri Lanka Unlimited” give 3 GB of high‑speed data each day and reduce the speed to 1000 kbps after that daily allowance, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need a larger, fixed amount of high‑speed data can choose Lumbus’s fixed data plans, such as the 50 GB plan valid for 180 days or the 20 GB plan valid for 30 days. These plans offer a set amount of data without daily limits and can be more cost‑effective for most users.

Lumbus does not provide a Sri Lanka eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available from the provider for that destination. Travelers who need voice or messaging can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection; however, some destinations may block or restrict these services, so it is advisable to verify access to the required apps before purchasing a plan for Sri Lanka.

Lumbus offers 11 single‑country plans that cover only Sri Lanka and 41 multi‑country plans that include Sri Lanka among other destinations. The plans span a price range from roughly $3.99 up to $151.99, with data caps that vary between 1 GB and 50 GB and validity periods ranging from 1 to 365 days. Some plans use a daily data cap that resets each day, while others employ a fixed data cap that applies for the full duration of the plan.
