AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for Tanzania

AirPlans does not offer a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Tanzania. The plans that include “Unlimited” in their names all have a specified data cap and a reduced speed tier once that cap is reached. For example, the Tanzania Unlimited 10 Days plan supplies 3GB per day (30GB total) before throttling to 1000kbps, and the Tanzania 100GB 30 Days plan provides a 100GB allowance for 30 days. These fixed‑data plans can be cost‑effective, but they are not unlimited.

AirPlans does not offer a Tanzania eSIM plan that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers looking for voice and text connectivity will need to rely on data‑only plans and use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage for calls and messaging. Availability of these apps can vary; it is advisable to confirm that the VoIP services you wish to use are functional in Tanzania before buying an eSIM.

AirPlans offers 20 single‑country data plans that cover Tanzania and 26 multi‑country plans that include Tanzania. The plans span a price range from roughly $3.53 to $470.40 and provide data caps between 500 MB and 100 GB, with validity periods from 1 to 60 days. Some plans feature daily data caps, limiting the amount of data available each day, while others have fixed data caps that allow the full amount to be used over the entire validity period; a few plans also allow tethering or offer reduced speed options.
