eSIMCard eSIM Data Plans for Tanzania

eSIMCard does not have a true unlimited data eSIM plan for Tanzania. All plans that are marketed as “Unlimited” provide a fixed data allowance – for example, 1GB per day for 1–15 days or 2GB per day for 1–15 days – after which the speed is throttled (to 500kbps for the 1GB/day plans and 2000kbps for the 2GB/day plans).

If a higher data volume is required, eSIMCard offers fixed‑data plans such as a 20GB plan for 30 days or a 25GB plan for 30 days, which may be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

eSIMCard does not currently provide any Tanzania eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only eSIMs for Tanzania.

For voice and messaging, users can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage, which work over the data connection and do not require a local phone number or SMS service.

eSIMCard provides 18 single‑country data plans and 33 multi‑country data plans that can be activated in Tanzania. Prices range from roughly $6.33 to $430.64, while data allowances span 1 GB to 100 GB and validity periods extend from one to 365 days. Some plans offer a fixed total data amount, allowing the full cap to be used over the validity period, whereas other plans cap daily usage, ensuring that each day the data limit is not exceeded even if the overall total is higher.
