Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Tanzania

Lumbus does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for Tanzania. The plans called “Tanzania Unlimited” provide 3 GB of high‑speed data each day for a fixed number of days; after the daily allowance, speed is reduced to 1000 kbps, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need a large amount of high‑speed data can choose a fixed data plan instead. For example, Lumbus offers a 20 GB bundle for 30 days at $99.99 USD and a 10 GB bundle for 30 days at $53.99 USD. These fixed plans give the full data amount within the validity period without speed throttling and can be more cost‑effective for users who consume significant data.

Lumbus does not provide any Tanzania eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are available. Travelers who need to make calls or send texts can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but should verify that these apps work in Tanzania before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict certain services.

Lumbus provides 10 single‑country plans and 16 multi‑country plans that cover Tanzania. The available plans range in price from about $6.99 to $309.99 and offer data caps between 1 GB and 20 GB, with validity periods spanning from 1 day up to 365 days. The single‑country options give a fixed data amount for the entire validity, while the multi‑country plans allow the same data to be used across several destinations, giving travelers flexibility when moving between countries.
