RoamGo eSIM Data Plans for Tanzania

RoamGo does not offer a true unlimited high‑speed eSIM plan for Tanzania. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name only allow a fixed amount of high‑speed data per day or per validity period – for example 3 GB/day or 1 GB/day – after which the speed is throttled to a lower rate (1000 kbps or 384 kbps). Travelers who need a larger data allowance can instead opt for one of RoamGo’s fixed data plans, such as the 20 GB – 30 days plan priced at $37.00 or the Global Discover 20 GB – 30 days plan at $58.40, which provide 20 GB of high‑speed data for a full month. These fixed‑data plans can be more cost‑effective for users with heavy data needs.

RoamGo does not provide an eSIM for Tanzania that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only plans from RoamGo for Tanzania. However, VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage can typically be used over the data connection for voice and messaging, though some destinations may block or restrict specific apps or VoIP services. Travelers should verify that the services they rely on are accessible in Tanzania before purchasing a plan.

RoamGo provides 29 single‑country plans and 67 multi‑country plans that include Tanzania. The plans cover a price range of $2.87 to $1, 015.20 and data caps between 500 MB and 20 GB, with validity periods from 1 to 365 days. Among the available options, 44 plans use a daily data cap while 52 offer a fixed data amount, allowing travelers to choose between a set amount of data each day or a single cumulative quantity. Many of the plans support tethering, and several include reduced speed tiers of 512 kbps, 1 Mbps, and 384 kbps.
