Tourist eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Tanzania

Tourist eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data option for Tanzania. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name actually grant a high‑speed data allowance that resets each day—2 GB per day for most global offers and 3 GB per day for Tanzania‑only packages—after which the speed is throttled to a lower level.

Instead of unlimited data, Tourist eSIM offers fixed data plans with larger allowances that can meet the needs of heavier users. Examples include 100 GB for 180 days, 80 GB for 365 days, and 50 GB for 30 or 90 days, each listed with a set validity period. These plans provide a straightforward, capped amount of data that can be used at full speed until the limit is reached.

Tourist eSIM does not provide a Tanzanian eSIM plan that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider sells only data‑only eSIMs for Tanzania; travelers can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging, though some destinations may block or limit these apps. Users should verify that the services they need are accessible in Tanzania before purchasing a Tourist eSIM plan.

Tourist eSIM lists 17 single‑country data plans that cover Tanzania, and 102 multi‑country plans that include Tanzania. The single‑country offers provide a fixed data amount, ranging from roughly 1 GB to 10 GB, with validity periods from 1 to 30 days, priced between approximately $4.60 and $10.00. The multi‑country plans span a broader spectrum of data, from about 1 GB up to 100 GB, and validity periods that can extend to 365 days, with prices that range from around $4.60 to $426.78. Some plans also allow tethering or come with reduced speeds at 2000 bps or 1000 bps.
