CocoRoam eSIM Data Plans for Uganda

CocoRoam does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for Uganda. All of their Uganda‑specific plans list a fixed data capacity, the largest of which is 50GB. These data bundles are active for a set number of days, after which the plan expires. Examples include Africa 50GB 30d, which offers 50GB over 30 days, and Uganda 20GB 15d, a 20GB bundle valid for 15 days. Because the plans are limited in capacity, a traveler who uses data heavily might find a fixed data plan less cost‑effective than a prepaid plan with a larger allowance, although the exact savings depend on the usage pattern.

CocoRoam does not provide an eSIM plan for Uganda that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can purchase a data‑only plan from CocoRoam for their stay in Uganda, which allows internet connectivity but does not enable traditional voice calls or text messages. However, they can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages. It is advisable to check that the specific VoIP or messaging services you rely on are accessible in Uganda before purchasing, as some destinations may restrict certain apps.

CocoRoam offers 28 single‑country data plans and 34 multi‑country plans for Uganda. The plans range in price from about $6.70 to $372.00 and provide data caps between 1 GB and 50 GB, with validity periods from 1 to 30 days. Plans are divided into daily data cap options, where the data allowance is refreshed each day, and fixed data cap options, where the total data amount is available for the entire validity period. Both types are available across the single‑country and multi‑country offerings.
