eSIMCard does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data plan for Uganda. All plans marketed as “Unlimited” in the name actually offer a fixed data allowance—typically 1GB per day or 2GB per day—with a throttled speed applied once the daily limit is reached. The throttled speeds for these plans are 512kbps or 2000kbps, depending on the package.

If a higher data volume is preferred, eSIMCard offers fixed data plans that can be more cost effective for travelers who need more than the daily limits of the “Unlimited” packages. For example, a 100GB eSIM Data plan for 30 days and a 50GB eSIM Data plan for 30 days are available, both providing full‑speed 5 G connectivity throughout the validity period.

eSIMCard does not provide Uganda eSIMs that include a phone number or SMS capability. The provider only offers data‑only eSIM plans for Uganda, so travellers can use the data connection to access VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage for calls and messaging.

eSIMCard lists 28 single‑country and 62 multi‑country plans that include Uganda. The available packages run from $6.43 to $395.07, offer data caps between 1 GB and 100 GB, and can be valid from a single day up to 180 days. Among these, 48 plans are fixed‑data‑cap, while 42 plans feature a daily data cap. Customers can also utilize options that allow tethering, and some plans apply a reduced speed of 512 kbps or 2000 kbps.
