Sim Local does not provide a truly unlimited data plan for Canada; the plans that carry the “Unlimited” name actually offer 10 GB per day of high‑speed data and after that cap is reached the speed is reduced. For travelers who need more generous limits, Sim Local offers fixed data plans, such as the 20 GB plan for 30 days costing $25.50 USD and the 10 GB plan for 30 days at $32.25 USD. Choosing a fixed‑data plan can be more cost‑effective unless a user requires a very high daily bandwidth.

Sim Local does not offer an eSIM for Canada that includes a phone number or SMS capability. All of Sim Local’s Canadian eSIM offerings are data‑only; they provide high‑speed internet without the ability to make inbound or outbound voice calls or receive or send text messages.
