Nomad does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data plan for China. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” actually give 2GB of high‑speed data per day; once that limit is reached the connection speed is likely throttled, though the exact reduced speed is not listed.

Instead, Nomad offers fixed‑data plans that give larger allowances. For example, a 50GB plan is available for 45 days, and a 30GB plan is available for 365 days. These fixed‑data options can be more cost effective if a traveler requires more than the 2GB/day allotment.

Nomad does not provide China eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. All of Nomad’s China offerings are data‑only, meaning they grant high‑speed internet access without support for traditional voice calls or text messages.

Travelers can still communicate by using VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage, which work over the data connection provided by the eSIM.
