abesteSIM eSIM Data Plans for DR Congo

AbesteSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for DR Congo. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name actually supply a fixed data allowance of 1 GB per day; after that limit the speed drops to 5000 kbps. Thus, while the name suggests unlimited data, the plan has a hard cap on high‑speed usage.

For travelers needing larger data volumes, abesteSIM offers fixed‑data plans such as the “eSIM Africa (21 Countries) – Total 50GB” options, which grant up to 50 GB over a set number of days (for example, 3 days for $86.87 USD). These plans provide an unthrottled experience until the total data allocation is exhausted, which can be more cost‑effective for most users.

abesteSIM does not provide a DR Congo eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The company only offers data‑only eSIMs for this destination. Travelers who need voice or messaging can rely on popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage, which generally work over the data connection. However, some apps or VoIP services may be blocked or restricted in DR Congo, so it is advisable to confirm that the required applications are accessible before purchasing an eSIM.

abesteSIM lists 25 single‑country data plans that include DR Congo, and it offers 178 multi‑country coverage plans that also cover the country. Some of the plans are fixed‑data packages while others use a daily data cap. In total the catalog ranges from about $0.55 to $203.93 per plan, with data caps spanning from 500 MB up to 50 GB and validity periods from one to thirty days.
