nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for DR Congo

NextSIM does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. All plans that carry the word “Unlimited” actually provide a fixed amount of high‑speed data and then reduce speed once that data is used: for instance, the eSIM Democratic Republic of the Congo Unlimited 1Days Standard supplies 1GB and drops to 512kbps after the limit is reached.

Travelers who need more data can choose from what are called fixed data plans. A 10GB plan lasting 30 days costs $148.29, while a 50GB plan for the same period costs $1, 233.85. These large‑data options may be more cost‑effective for heavy users than the limited “Unlimited” plans.

nextSIM does not provide an eSIM for DR Congo that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The available plans are data‑only, so travelers need to rely on internet‑based services for communication. Popular VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage can usually be used over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict specific apps or VoIP services; it is advisable to check that the applications you need are accessible in DR Congo before purchasing a plan.

nextSIM provides 18 single‑country plans that cover DR Congo and 22 multi‑country plans that include the country as part of their coverage. In addition to standard data packages, the provider offers two types of plans: daily data cap plans, of which there are 6, and fixed data cap plans, totaling 34. Prices across the portfolio vary from $17.93 to $1, 279.70, while the data caps range from a single gigabyte up to 50 GB, giving travelers a broad spectrum of options for staying connected.
