EtravelSIM eSIM Data Plans for Hong Kong

EtravelSIM does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for Hong Kong. All of its Hong Kong‑specific plans have a hard data cap, even those with “Unlimited” in the name; after the specified amount is used the speed is throttled to 128 kbps. Travelers who need a large amount of high‑speed data can choose a fixed data plan such as the Hong Kong eSIM 50 GB – 30 days plan, which provides 50 GB of 4G/LTE/5G data for 30 days, or the Hong Kong eSIM 20 GB – 30 days plan, which offers 20 GB for the same period. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most users unless a traveler expects to consume data beyond the capped limits.

EtravelSIM does provide eSIM plans that include a phone number and SMS for Hong Kong. Each of the listed plans is 20 GB of data that remains usable for 30 days. Prices vary slightly: two plans are priced at $27.00 USD while the Seafarer eSIM is $29.99 USD. The phone number that comes with these plans uses dialing code +33, which is not a local Hong Kong number (the local code is +852) but a French number. Inbound and outbound voice calls are possible, and SMS can be sent as well as received. Travelers who need specific details on dialing or local number usage should confirm directly with EtravelSIM.

EtravelSIM provides 13 single‑country data plans and 7 multi‑country data plans for Hong Kong. The plans range in price from $4.50 to $59, with data caps between 1 GB and 50 GB and validity periods from one to thirty days. Some plans use a daily data cap that resets each day, while others offer a fixed data amount that remains available for the full validity period.
