Horizon eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Hong Kong

Horizon eSIM does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Hong Kong. The available options are fixed data plans that specify a hard data cap and a set validity period. For example, Horizon eSIM offers a 50GB plan valid for 30 days and another 50GB plan valid for 180 days, as well as a 20GB plan valid for 30 days. These plans allow tethering and are priced at $38.97 USD, $38.97 USD, and $15.72 USD respectively. Choosing a fixed data plan can be more cost‑effective for most travelers, unless a user requires truly unlimited data.

Horizon eSIM does not provide a phone number or SMS capability on its Hong Kong eSIM plans. Only data‑only eSIMs are sold for Hong Kong, so travelers will not receive a local number for calls or text messages.

Users can still communicate in Hong Kong by using VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict specific apps. Travelers are advised to confirm that the VoIP services they need are accessible in Hong Kong before purchasing a data‑only plan.

Horizon eSIM offers 13 single‑country plans and 13 multi‑country plans for Hong Kong. The available plans span a price range from about $0.31 to $309.16 USD and a data cap range from 100 MB up to 50 GB, with validity periods varying from 7 to 365 days. The single‑country options provide data exclusively for Hong Kong, while the multi‑country plans allow the same data to be used across several destinations.
