Globie eSIM Data Plans for Hungary

Globie does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Hungary. The plans that carry the “Hungary Unlimited” name supply 3GB of high‑speed data each day for a set period, after which the speed is reduced to 1000kbps; they are not unlimited in the sense of an unrestricted data bundle.

If travelers need more high‑speed data, Globie offers fixed data plans such as the 50GB plan valid for 180 days or the 20GB plan valid for 30 days, which provide larger amounts of data without the daily cap and speed throttle.

Globie does not provide an eSIM plan with a phone number or SMS capability for Hungary; only data‑only eSIMs are offered. Travelers can still use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, but some destinations may block or restrict certain apps and services. It is advisable to confirm that the VoIP applications you rely on are accessible in Hungary before purchasing a plan.

Globie offers a range of plans that can be used in Hungary, with 12 single‑country (Hungary‑only) eSIM options and 16 multinationals plans that include Hungarian coverage. The single‑country plans vary from $3.49 to $95.99 and provide between 1 GB and 50 GB of data, with validity windows from 5 to 180 days. The multinational bundle allows travelers to roam across multiple destinations while remaining within the same data budget, and its pricing and data caps cover the same broader spectrum. The provider provides two main plan types: daily data cap plans, which limit usable data on a per‑day basis, and fixed data cap plans, which grant a fixed amount of data that can be consumed at any pace during the plan’s validity period. Both plan types are available within the stated price and data cap ranges, offering flexibility for short stays or longer stays across Hungary.
