Kolet eSIM Data Plans for Hungary

Kolet does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Hungary. The plans that carry the name “UNLIMITED” give 5GB per day at full speed and then throttle the connection to 1024 kbps once that daily limit is reached, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need more data can choose from Kolet’s fixed data plans, such as the Hungary 20GB for 30 days plan or the Hungary 10GB for 30 days plan. These examples illustrate the available options; the full list includes many other fixed data plans. Selecting a fixed data plan can be more cost‑effective unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer.

Kolet does not provide eSIM plans for Hungary that include a phone number or SMS capability. All Kolet eSIMs available for Hungary are data‑only plans.

Travelers who need voice and messaging can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. These services may work on the internet connection given by the eSIM, but some destinations can block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are usable in Hungary before buying a plan.

Kolet provides 13 single‑country plans for Hungary and 31 multi‑country plans that include Hungary as a covered destination. Among the multi‑country offerings, 23 use a fixed data amount while 21 employ a daily data cap, giving travelers flexibility between a set data quantity and a time‑based allowance. Prices on eSIMDB range from roughly $3.99 to $104.10, data limits span from 1 GB up to 20 GB, and validity can be as short as one day or extend to a full year.
