Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Hungary

Lumbus does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Hungary. The plans that carry the name “Hungary Unlimited” actually give 3GB per day of high‑speed data and, after that daily allowance, the speed is reduced to 1000kbps. These plans are valid for 3, 7, 14, or 30 days, depending on the option chosen.

Travelers who need more data can choose from Lumbus’s fixed data plans, such as the Hungary 50GB 180Days plan or the Europe 35 Unlimited 100GB 180Days plan. Both plans offer 5G coverage in Hungary and provide a set amount of high‑speed data, which can be more cost‑effective for most users unless they are extremely heavy data consumers.

Lumbus does not offer an eSIM plan for Hungary that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available from the provider. Travelers who need to maintain voice or text communication in Hungary can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, though some destinations may restrict certain apps, so users should confirm access before purchasing.

Lumbus offers 11 single‑country data plans for Hungary, and 56 multi‑country plans that include Hungary among other destinations. The single‑country offerings range in price from about $1.99 to $140.99 and in data cap from 1 GB up to 100 GB. The multi‑country options cover a similar broad spectrum of prices and data limits, allowing travelers to choose a plan that fits both their budget and data needs.
