BNESIM eSIM Data Plans for Iceland

BNESIM does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Iceland. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name, such as Iceland Unlimited 10 days, deliver 3 GB per day at full speed for 10 days and then offer unlimited data at a throttled speed of 1 Mbps after that period.

Travelers who need unlimited high‑speed data will need to choose from BNESIM’s fixed data plans. For example, the Surf 100 GB in Iceland for 30 days plan gives 100 GB of high‑speed data valid for 30 days, and the Surf 100 GB in Iceland plan provides the same 100 GB at no expiry. These fixed data options can be more cost‑effective than an “Unlimited” plan unless the user requires high‑speed data beyond the daily 3 GB limit.

BNESIM does not offer eSIM plans with a local phone number or SMS capability for Iceland; its Icelandic offerings are limited to data‑only connectivity. Travelers who need voice or messaging can rely on VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, though some destinations may block or restrict these apps, so it is advisable to verify their availability in Iceland before buying a plan.

BNESIM offers 15 single‑country plans covering Iceland and 43 multi‑country plans that include Iceland. The plans range in price from roughly $2.84 to $433.03 and provide data caps from 1 GB up to 100 GB. A limited number of plans feature a daily data cap, while most offer a fixed data amount, and many allow tethering with a reduced speed of 1000 kbps.
