“The initial 1G I purchased worked smoothly, making me think I'd made the right choice. However, when I bought an additional 10G as it was about to run out, I couldn't use it at all. I was grateful that they responded quickly when I reached out, but in the end I was unable to establish a connection and had to get a refund.
The customer service was commendable and it's a shame that I could not continue to have the good connection I experienced initially.”
Soracom Mobile does not offer an unlimited data eSIM plan for Italy. The provider’s Italy offerings are fixed data plans that each provide a specific amount of data for a set period.
The available fixed plans for Italy include 10GB for $42.99 USD, 5GB for $23.99 USD, 3GB for $14.99 USD and 1GB for $5.89 USD, each valid for 30 days. These plans can be a good option for most travelers, though very heavy data users might need to consider additional or higher‑capacity options.
Soracom Mobile does not provide an Italy eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS functionality. It only offers data‑only eSIM plans for travelers.
Because a phone number and SMS are unavailable, users can still communicate via internet‑based services. Popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage work over the data connection and allow calls and messaging without a traditional phone number.
Soracom Mobile currently offers four data plans that include Italy as part of their broader coverage. These plans cover multiple countries and do not offer single-country options specifically for Italy. The available plans range in price from approximately $5.89 to $42.99 and provide data allowances between 1GB and 10GB. These plans all have a validity period of 30 days.
