Maya Mobile eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

Maya Mobile does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for New Zealand. The plans that carry the “Unlimited Global Data” label give 5GB per day of high‑speed data; once that daily amount is reached the speed drops to 3Mbps. These are fixed data plans rather than unlimited ones.

Travelers who need a large amount of data can choose from Maya Mobile’s fixed data plans, such as the 30‑day plan that offers 5GB per day (150GB total) or the 14‑day plan that offers 5GB per day (70GB total). Both plans include tethering, are available on 5G, and may be more cost‑effective for most users unless they require unlimited high‑speed data.

Maya Mobile does not offer an eSIM plan for New Zealand that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider only sells data‑only eSIMs for travelers. Travelers who require voice or text functionality can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but availability may be limited or blocked in some areas, so it is advisable to confirm that these apps work in New Zealand before purchasing.

Maya Mobile provides eight daily data cap plans that cover New Zealand within a multi‑country offering. All of the plans carry the same data allowance of 5 GB, are valid for 3 to 30 days, and fall within a price range of about $10 to $300. There are no single‑country or fixed‑data‑cap options for New Zealand from Maya Mobile at present.
