Airalo eSIM Data Plans for Africa

Airalo does not offer an unlimited data eSIM plan for Africa. Travelers can instead select fixed‑data options such as a 20 GB plan that is valid for 365 days and costs $66 USD, or a 10 GB plan that is available for only 7 days at $55 USD. These plans provide coverage to a broad range of African countries, including Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and many more. Choosing a fixed data plan can be more cost effective for most users; it only becomes less competitive for those who are extremely heavy data consumers and might otherwise look for a truly unlimited plan.

Airalo does not provide eSIM plans with a phone number or SMS capability for Africa. The provider only offers data‑only eSIMs for that region. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging needs.

Airalo's Discover plan covers Botswana, DR Congo, Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, Gambia, Kenya, Liberia, Morocco, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Réunion, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Tunisia, Tanzania, Uganda, and South Africa. The Discover+ plan includes all of those countries plus Chad. The Hello Africa plan covers Burkina Faso, Benin, Botswana, DR Congo, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Algeria, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea‑Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Eswatini (Swaziland), Chad, Togo, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, and Zambia.
