Airalo eSIM Data Plans for Africa

Airalo does not offer an unlimited data eSIM plan for Africa. The available plans give fixed data allowances such as the Discover 20GB plan, which supplies 20GB of data for 365 days at a price of $66.00 USD, and the Discover 10GB plan, which supplies 10GB of data for 180 days at $57.00 USD. Both plans use 5G connectivity and cover numerous African countries, including Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and many others.

For most travelers, purchasing one of these fixed data plans is a more economical option unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer who would prefer higher data or unlimited coverage.

Airalo does not provide eSIM plans with a phone number or SMS capability for Africa. The provider only offers data‑only eSIMs for that region. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging needs.

Airalo's eSIM offerings cover a wide range of African nations. The Hello Africa plan extends coverage to additional countries such as Burkina Faso, Benin, Central African Republic, Cape Verde, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea‑Bissau, Mauritania, Mauritius, Malawi, Rwanda, Sudan, Eswatini (Swaziland), Togo, and Zambia. Together, these plans provide connectivity across most of the approved African countries listed above, with no plan extending coverage beyond the African region.
