Nomad eSIM Data Plans for Africa

Nomad does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for Africa. Travelers who need a high‑capacity option can choose from the fixed data plans that the provider offers. For example, the Regional Africa – 30 Days – 10 GB plan costs $45.00 USD and the Regional Africa – 30 Days – 5 GB plan costs $28.00 USD. These fixed data plans cover a wide range of countries across Africa, including Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia. Selecting a fixed data plan may be more cost‑effective for most users, unless an extremely heavy data consumer prefers the flexibility of an unlimited plan.

Nomad does not provide Africa eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. All available plans are data‑only, so travelers cannot receive or send text messages and cannot make inbound or outbound voice calls on a traditional cellular number.

However, users can still communicate while traveling by using popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. These apps work over the data connection provided by Nomad’s eSIM and allow voice and text communication without the need for a traditional phone number.
