Nomad does not provide any unlimited data eSIM plans for Africa. All of the plans listed for African countries have a specific data cap. For example, the Regional Africa – 30 Days – 10 GB plan offers 10 GB for $45.00, and the Regional Africa – 30 Days – 5 GB plan offers 5 GB for $28.00. A larger option is the Regional Global – 30 Days – 20 GB plan, which supplies 20 GB for $99.00.

Choosing a fixed‑data plan can be more cost effective for heavy data users, as it guarantees a set amount of high‑speed data without overpaying for unused minutes. These fixed plans also provide flexibility in choosing the duration and amount of data to match a traveller’s needs.

Nomad does not provide a phone number or SMS capability on its Africa eSIM. Only data‑only plans are sold for African destinations.

Travelers who need voice or text communication can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, allowing calls and messaging without a local phone number.
