Airalo eSIM Data Plans for South America

Airalo does not provide a truly unlimited‑data eSIM for South America. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in the name actually allow 3GB of high‑speed data per day, after which the speed drops to 1000kbps. If you need more data without daily limits, Airalo offers fixed‑data plans such as the 20 GB options that are valid for 15 to 30 days. These plans give a set amount of high‑speed data (no speed reduction until the data is exhausted) and can be more cost‑effective for travelers who use a large amount of data.

Airalo does not provide an eSIM for South America that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available for that region, and travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages.

Airalo offers several South American eSIM plans. The Latamlink plan covers Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The Discover plan expands that coverage to include Belize, Guyana, and Suriname while still covering the same core South American states. Discover+ adds French Guiana in addition to the full set of countries in Discover (but does not cover Venezuela). All three plans also serve additional regions outside South America, although those areas are not listed here.
