Airalo eSIM Data Plans for South America

Airalo does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for South America. The only plans with the word “Unlimited” in their name provide a high‑speed allowance of 3GB per day; after that limit is reached the speed drops to 1000 kbps. Travelers who need more continuous data would need to choose a fixed‑data plan instead. Examples of available fixed data options include 10 GB for 7 days and 20 GB for 15 or 30 days, all of which sustain full 5G speed throughout the validity period. These plans provide higher data volumes and may be more cost‑effective for heavier data users.

Airalo does not provide an eSIM for South America that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available for that region, and travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages.

Airalo’s Discover and Discover+ eSIM plans provide coverage for Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Belize, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, El Salvador, and Uruguay; the Latamlink plan adds Venezuela to that list. All of these plans also include coverage outside South America, with Discover and Discover+ extending to a wide range of other global regions, whereas Latamlink focuses solely on the South American market.
