Airalo does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for South America. The plans branded “Latamlink - Unlimited” actually allow only 3 GB per day; after the daily allowance the connection slows to a reduced speed of 1000 kbps.

Travelers who need more data without the daily cap can choose a fixed‑data plan instead. For example, Airalo offers a 20 GB plan valid for 15 days at $56.00 USD and another 20 GB plan valid for 30 days at $59.00 USD. A smaller 10 GB plan is also available for 7 days. These fixed‑data options give a larger total data allowance for South America and may be more cost‑effective for users who want high‑speed data over a longer period.

Airalo does not provide an eSIM for South America that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available for that region, and travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages.
