Airalo eSIM Data Plans for South America

Airalo does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data plan for South America. The plans that carry the “Unlimited” name actually offer a daily cap of 3 GB; once that limit is reached the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps.
If a traveler wants a larger, unrestricted data allowance, Airalo offers fixed‑data plans such as 20 GB for 15 days at $56.00 USD or 20 GB for 30 days at $59.00 USD, and a 10 GB plan for 7 days at $40.00 USD. These plans give the specified amount of high‑speed data before any speed reduction applies.

Airalo does not provide an eSIM for South America that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available for that region, and travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages.

Airalo’s South American coverage comes through three of their plans. The Discover‑ and Discover+ offerings include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Suriname, Uruguay, and Peru, while Latamlink adds Venezuela to the same list of countries. All of these plans also extend to additional non‑South American regions, but the only South American countries that airalo’s eSIM plans cover are the ones above.
