Astaroam eSIM Data Plans for Romania

Astaroam does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Romania. The plans that carry the name “Unlimited” actually give a fixed amount of high‑speed data—3 GB per day—and after that limit is reached the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps.

If a traveler needs a larger data allowance, Astaroam offers fixed data plans such as the 20 GB 30‑day plan or the 10 GB 30‑day plan for Romania. These plans provide a set amount of data without the speed reduction that applies to the “Unlimited” plans and can be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

Astaroam does not provide eSIM plans for Romania that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM products are available from this provider for that destination.

Travelers who need voice or text can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. Because VoIP services can be blocked or restricted in some countries, it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in Romania before purchasing a data‑only plan.

Astaroam offers 13 single‑country plans and 31 multi‑country plans in Romania.
The available plans span a price range of about $0.93 to $24.81, a data cap range from 1 GB up to 20 GB, and validity periods between 1 and 30 days. Some plans are structured with a fixed data amount whereas others use a daily data cap, giving travelers flexibility depending on their usage patterns.
