FootySIMs eSIM Data Plans for Romania

FootySIMs does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Romania. The available plans use a 1GB per day allowance; once that amount is reached the speed is reduced to 512 kbps, which is not unlimited high‑speed data.

Travelers who need more data can opt for the fixed data plans offered: a 1 GB per day plan for 7 days and a 1 GB per day plan for 30 days. Both plans price at $11.15 USD and include tethering with reduced speed applied after the daily 1 GB limit is used.

FootySIMs does not provide a Romania eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Only data-only eSIMs are available for Romania from this provider. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for voice calls and messaging, but they should verify that these apps work in Romania before purchasing.

FootySIMs offers three single‑country data plans for Romania, with no multi‑country options available. All plans provide a 1 GB data cap and are valid for 7 to 30 days. Two of the plans use a daily data cap model, allowing users to reset the data allowance each day, while the third plan provides a fixed 1 GB data cap that remains constant for the plan’s validity period. Prices for these options range from about $1.84 to $45.43, giving travelers a broad spectrum to choose from.
