Mi eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Romania

Mi eSIM does not provide a genuine unlimited data eSIM for Romania. The plans titled “Unlimited eSIM Data” are fixed‑data bundles that allot 1GB per day or 2GB per day, and after the cap is reached the connection is throttled to 512 kbps or 2000 kbps.

Travelers who need a larger data allowance can purchase fixed data plans such as the 100 GB for 30 days bundle priced at $75.61 USD, or the 50 GB for 30 days bundle at $42.04 USD, both of which provide full‑speed data for the duration of the validity period.

Mi eSIM does not offer any eSIM plans for Romania that include a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs from this provider for use in Romania. To make voice and text calls, users can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but it is advisable to confirm that these services are accessible in Romania before proceeding.

Mi eSIM offers 17 single‑country data plans that cover Romania and 47 multi‑country plans that include Romania. The plans range in price from about $3.36 to $197.35 and in data allowance from 1 GB up to 100 GB. Some plans are fixed‑data‑cap plans, giving a set amount of data for the validity period, while others are daily data‑cap plans that reset each day. Many plans allow tethering, and reduced‑speed options are available at 512 kbps or 2000 kbps for certain plans.
