Mi eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Russia

Mi eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Russia. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name actually offer a 1 GB data cap per day or per plan, after which the speed is reduced to 512 kbps (or 2 mbps for the Unlimited Plus plan).

Travelers who need more data can choose from Mi eSIM’s fixed data plans, such as the 50 GB eSIM Data for 30 days or the 100 GB eSIM Data for 30 days, both of which provide a larger high‑speed data allowance without the daily cap. These fixed plans are often more cost‑effective for users who consume a lot of data.

Mi eSIM does not provide a Russia eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers who need a phone number or SMS functionality will need to use a different provider that offers these services. Instead, Mi eSIM offers data‑only plans to Russia, which can be used with VoIP and messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage for calls and messages. However, users should verify that these services are accessible in Russia before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict certain VoIP applications.

There are 23 single‑country plans and 23 multi‑country plans available for Russia, with prices ranging from about $3.36 to $197.35 and data limits between 1 GB and 100 GB. The catalog includes both fixed data cap options—32 plans that offer a set amount of data for the entire validity period—and daily data cap plans—14 plans where the data amount resets each day—providing flexibility for travelers who prefer a predictable data budget versus those who want a daily allowance that adapts to their usage.
