I purchased two Bosnia and Herzegovina (HT Eronet) - 10GB/30Days eSIM packages. The pre-installation process was smooth, but activation at the border wasn’t as trouble-free. Throughout the trip, I often had no internet connection. At one rest stop, I noticed the phone had latched onto the MTEL network instead of Eronet. I tried switching manually, experimented with both automatic and manual APN settings (using the official Eronet APN), but none of it helped—the issue remained the same: sometimes there was internet, sometimes there wasn’t.
Once we arrived in Mostar, things got a bit more stable, but even there the connection frequently dropped—at our accommodation too, for instance. My wife (using a Motorola; I have a Honor) kept pointing out that we had no internet again.
Speed wasn’t an issue when it did work, but I’d recommend going with BH Telecom instead—whenever Eronet failed, my other SIM on BH Telecom had full signal. In some cases, the only way to reconnect was to disable and re-enable the eSIM entirely.
eSIM4Travel does not provide an unlimited data eSIM option for travelers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Instead, the provider offers a selection of fixed data plans covering the country through its local operators, BH Telecom and HT Eronet. For example, a 20GB plan is available for 30 days at approximately $60.34 USD, and a 10GB plan is offered for 30 days at about $30.64 USD.
Choosing a fixed data plan can be more cost‑effective for most users, especially those who do not require continuous, limitless data usage. Only travelers who anticipate extremely heavy data consumption might consider exploring other providers that specialize in truly unlimited packages.
eSIM4Travel does not offer a Bosnia and Herzegovina eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider only sells data‑only eSIM plans for this destination. Travelers who need voice and messaging services can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the available data connection.
eSIM4Travel offers six single‑country data plans for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The plans cover a variety of data allowances—from 1 GB up to 20 GB—and range in price from about $2.67 to $60.34 USD. Most plans provide a fixed data amount that is usable over the entire validity period, while a few options may apply a daily data cap during the plan’s lifespan, giving travellers more control over how much data they use each day. No multi‑country plans are currently available for this destination.
