BlueSky eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data plan for China. The plans that are labeled as “Unlimited Data” actually include a daily cap of 3GB; once the 3GB limit is reached the speed is throttled to 1000kbps.

Travelers who need more data can choose one of BlueSky eSIM’s fixed‑amount plans for China. For example, the 20GB plan valid for 30 days, the 50GB plan for 90 days, and the 100GB plan for 180 days all offer full 5G speed throughout their validity periods. Selecting a fixed data plan can be more suitable and cost‑effective unless a user expects to consume an extremely large amount of high‑speed data.

BlueSky eSIM does not provide a China eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only plans are offered for China. Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use the data connection with VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, but should check that these services are accessible in China before purchasing, as some destinations block or restrict specific apps.
