Journey Esims does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for China. The plans labeled “China Unlimited” actually include a 1 GB cap; after the limit is reached the speed drops to 128 kbps. For travelers who need more data, Journey Esims offers fixed‑data options such as the 50 GB 90‑day plan and the 100 GB 180‑day plan, both of which include tethering and use China’s standard network coverage. Choosing one of these larger data allowances may be more cost‑effective for heavier data users.

Journey Esims does not offer any eSIM plans for China that include a phone number or SMS capability. All of its China eSIM offerings are data‑only plans.

You can still make voice and messaging connections by using VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict certain apps or VoIP services, so travelers should confirm that the services they rely on are accessible in China before purchasing plan.

Journey Esims offers 14 single‑country data plans that are valid only for China and 20 multi‑country data plans that include China.
