Tourist eSIM eSIM Data Plans for China

Tourist eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for China. The plans labeled “Unlimited” give a fixed high‑speed allowance that resets daily and then reduce speed after the allowance is used. For example, the China • Unlimited Data • 1 Day plan offers 2GB of high‑speed data per day and drops to 384kbps once that 2GB is consumed. Similar daily limits apply to the other China‑only “Unlimited” plans, which range from 1 day to 25 days of 2GB per day.

If a traveler needs a larger, unthrottled data amount, Tourist eSIM offers fixed data plans such as the 100GB plan valid for 180 days, which provides a single 100GB allowance without daily resets or speed reductions. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for heavy data users compared to the daily‑reset “Unlimited” options.

Tourist eSIM does not offer an eSIM with a phone number or SMS capability for China. Only data‑only plans are available for that destination. Travelers who need communication can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict specific apps or VoIP services, so visitors should verify that the apps they rely on are accessible in China before purchasing a plan.

Tourist eSIM offers 23 single‑country data plans and 158 multi‑country data plans that include China. The plans range in price from about $2.05 to $426.78 and provide data caps between 1 GB and 100 GB, with validity periods from 1 to 365 days. Some plans feature daily data caps while others have fixed data amounts, and a few allow tethering or reduced speeds.
