AeroSims eSIM Data Plans for Costa Rica

AeroSims does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Costa Rica. The plans that bear the name “Unlimited” give 2GB of high‑speed data per day and, once that amount is used, the speed drops to 512kbps; the data cap is still a fixed limit.

Customers looking for a larger data allowance can choose from AeroSims’ fixed data plans, such as the San Jose 20GB 30‑day plan or the Global (115+ Countries) 10GB 30‑day plan. These plans provide a set amount of high‑speed data that can be topped up while still valid, which can be more cost‑effective unless a traveler expects extremely heavy data use.

AeroSims provides only data‑only eSIM plans for Costa Rica. The provider does not offer any eSIM with a local phone number or SMS capability for this destination. Travelers looking for voice or text service through a traditional phone number will need to use alternative options.

Because the eSIM delivers a data connection, voice and text can still be carried out using popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage. Keep in mind that access to some of these services can be restricted in certain places, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are available in Costa Rica before finalising your purchase.

AeroSims provides 11 single‑country data plans that cover Costa Rica, and an additional 10 multi‑country plans that include the country in their roster of destinations, giving travelers a total of 21 options for staying connected. Prices span from $6.20 to $168, with data caps ranging from 2 GB to 20 GB, and validity periods from one to thirty days. Among these offerings, 15 plans have a fixed data amount delivered over the plan’s life while 6 plans apply a daily data cap, allowing users to pick a structure that best fits their usage patterns. Some plans include a reduced speed option of 512 kbps, so travelers should check the specific terms of each plan before purchasing.
