FootySIMs eSIM Data Plans for Costa Rica

FootySIMs does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Costa Rica. The plans that carry the “Unlimited” label actually offer 1 GB per day of high‑speed data; once that daily allowance is reached the speed is reduced to 512 kbps.

Travelers who need a fixed amount of data can choose from FootySIMs’ fixed data plans, such as the 7‑day 1 GB/day plan or the 30‑day 1 GB/day plan. These plans give a set amount of high‑speed data and may be more cost‑effective for most users.

FootySIMs does not provide an eSIM plan for Costa Rica that includes a local phone number or SMS functionality. The provider only offers data‐only eSIMs in this destination. Travelers who need voice or messaging can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but it is advisable to confirm that these services are accessible in Costa Rica before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict specific VoIP apps.

FootySIMs offers three single‑country data plans for Costa Rica. Two of those plans are daily data‑cap options that provide a fixed amount of data each day before it expires, while the remaining plan is a fixed‑data cap plan that grants a single, entire data allotment for the duration of the validity period. Prices span from about $2.73 to $67.60, with each plan delivering 1 GB of data and a validity window ranging between 7 and 30 days. No multi‑country plans are currently available for Costa Rica.
