Lotso Travel eSIM Data Plans for Dominican Republic

Lotso Travel does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for the Dominican Republic. Every plan that carries the word “Unlimited” in its name actually has a fixed data allowance that can be used at full speed for a set number of days; once that daily limit is reached the speed is throttled to 384kbps (or 5Mbps in a few cases). These are fixed data plans, not unlimited plans.

Travelers can choose from a range of large‑data fixed plans, such as the 30GB Unlimited eSIM 30 days plan, which offers 1GB/day at full speed for 30 days before throttling, or the 60GB Unlimited eSIM 30 days plan, which offers 2GB/day at full speed for 30 days before throttling. These options provide substantial data allowances and may be more cost‑effective for most users.

Lotso Travel does not offer a Dominican Republic eSIM plan that provides a local phone number or SMS capabilities. Travelers looking for internet access in the Dominican Republic can purchase a data‑only eSIM from Lotso Travel. For voice and messaging, users can rely on VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, though it is advised to verify that these apps are accessible in the destination before purchasing.

Lotso Travel offers 44 single‑country data plans and 16 multi‑country data plans for the Dominican Republic. The plans range in price from $5.95 to $286.95 and provide data caps between 500 MB and 50 GB, with validity periods spanning 5 to 30 days. Of the available plans, 20 are daily data caps—meaning the data allowance resets each day—while 40 are fixed data caps, assigning a set amount of data for the entire validity period. Both single‑country and multi‑country options give travelers flexibility, with some plans allowing tethering but carrying reduced speeds of 384 Kbps or 5 Mbps as noted.
