Kolet eSIM Data Plans for Ecuador

Kolet does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Ecuador. The plans that carry the “UNLIMITED” name give 5GB per day at full speed and then throttle to 1000 kbps once that daily limit is reached, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need more data can choose fixed‑data plans such as the 20 GB for 30 days or the 10 GB for 30 days options, which offer larger data allowances at full speed for the validity period. These plans may be more cost‑effective unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer. The validity of all Kolet plans starts when the eSIM first connects to a network.

Kolet does not offer eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS service for Ecuador. Only data‑only eSIMs are available from the provider. Travelers who need messaging or voice capabilities can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, although access to these apps can sometimes be restricted in certain destinations. It is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in Ecuador before purchasing an eSIM.

Kolet offers 13 single‑country data plans and 10 multi‑country data plans in Ecuador. Prices for the plans start around $5.61 and rise to about $100.80, with data caps ranging from 1 GB to 20 GB over validity periods that can be as short as one day or as long as a year. Kolet provides both daily data‑cap plans, which allot a set amount of data each day, and fixed data‑cap plans that provide a total data allocation for the entire validity period.
