Airalo eSIM Data Plans for El Salvador

Airalo does not provide a high‑speed unlimited data plan for El Salvador. The plans that carry the label “Unlimited, ” such as Chivo ‑ Unlimited and Latamlink ‑ Unlimited, actually allow only 3 GB of high‑speed data per day; once this amount is reached, the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps.
If a traveler needs more data without speed reduction, fixed‑data plans are available. Two examples are Chivo ‑ 20 GB for 15 days at $48 USD and Chivo ‑ 20 GB for 30 days at $49 USD, both of which provide 20 GB of full‑speed data for the stated validity. Fixed data plans can be more economical, especially for heavy‑usage travelers, because they avoid the speed drop that occurs after the daily limit on the “Unlimited” plans.

Airalo does not currently provide an eSIM for El Salvador that includes a local phone number or the ability to send or receive SMS. All Airalo eSIMs for El Salvador are data‑only, without inbound or outbound voice or text capabilities. Travelers can still use messaging and voice applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage over the data connection as an alternative.
