Airalo APP is really great, but service is very poor.
In Japan when it connects it's very fast on DOCOMO, often it cannot connect to KDDI (when it does, it's fast too). The big issue with Airalo for me, on a Pixel 6a and Pixel 4a is availability.
In all 3 countries (Eurolink, Asialink, Japan, Turkey cards) I frequently loose connectivity and have no signal even after restarting the phone (even in central train stations, airport, etc).
Japan and Asia cards are going via SingTel Singapore (but I have a Singtell card and the experience is better than Airalo).
Turkey card goes through OVH france, Netflix doesn't work.
Eurolink, only 3G in Georgia so couldn't connect 99% of the time. When it did, it was extremely slow that even whatsapp not going through easily.
Two different phones, both Pixel phones though.
Airalo does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Georgia. The only plan that carries “Unlimited” in its name is the Eurolink – Unlimited plan, but it is limited to 3GB per day; once that quota is exceeded the speed is throttled to 1000kbps.
Travelers who need a larger, continuous data allowance can choose one of Airalo’s fixed data plans for Georgia. Examples include the Eurolink – 100 GB plan, priced at $185.00 USD and valid for 180 days; the Eurolink – 50 GB plan for $100.00 USD with 90‑day validity; and the Eurolink – 20 GB plan for $49.00 USD with a 30‑day validity. These options offer larger data volumes without daily limits and may be more cost‑effective for most users.
Yes, Airalo sells Georgia eSIM plans that provide a phone number and SMS capability. The plans range from 1 GB to 20 GB of data, with prices from $6.00 USD to $44.00 USD and validity periods between 7 days and 30 days. Each plan includes a Georgian phone number with the dialing code +995, allows inbound and outbound voice calls, and permits inbound and outbound SMS. Travelers who need specific call or text functionality should confirm the details directly on Airalo’s website.
Airalo offers 11 single‑country data plans for Georgia, with data caps ranging from 1 GB to 100 GB and prices between $4.50 and $185.00. There are also 21 multi‑country plans that include coverage in Georgia; these plans share the same data and price ranges. The majority of these options are fixed‑data‑cap plans, while only one daily‑data‑cap plan is available, which provides a 24‑hour data cap that rolls over each day.
